William Ruoto was born in Orange, New Jersey. He currently resides in the Nashville, Tennessee area. He has spent his career as a design director and book designer in both Nashville and New York City. He has won multiple design awards at the New York Book Show.
Inspired and influenced by pop art, advertising, film poster art, vintage books, and popular music imagery, his designs create an eye-catching aesthetic.
He has lectured at New York University's School of Continuing Education on the topic of book design.
